1. Choose your materials
Take a thin, non-stretchy string, thread or dental floss. Avoid elastic or very stretchy materials as they can distort the measurement.
2. Wrap around your finger
Gently wrap the string around the finger where you plan to wear the ring.
Make sure you wrap it comfortably snug, not too tight and not too loose - just snug enough that it won’t easily slip off.
3. Mark the meeting point
With a pen or fine marker, mark the point on the string where the ends meet after wrapping around your finger.
4. Cut the string
Carefully cut the string at the marked spot so that the piece represents exactly the circumference (circumference = the full length around your finger).
5. Measure with a ruler
Lay the cut piece of string flat against a ruler.
Measure from one end to the marked point in millimetres (mm) - this is your finger’s circumference at the ring position.
6. Check repeat measurements
To ensure accuracy, measure 2–3 times and use the average of those results. Fingers can vary slightly throughout the day.
7. Use a size chart (optional)
Once you have the mm measurement, you can compare it to a ring size chart (EU/US/UK) to find your official ring size. Most charts list circumference in mm alongside standard ring sizes.
Tips for Best Accuracy:- Measure when your hands are at a normal temperature - not cold or overly warm - as finger size can change with temperature.
- Make sure the string can easily slide over your knuckle, especially if your knuckle is larger than the base of the finger.
- If your measurement falls between two sizes, we recommend choosing the larger size for a more comfortable fit.
